My mom won't let me wear foundation.?

I%26#039;m 13 and my mom won%26#039;t let me wear foundation. When i was 12 i took one of her foundations from her drawer%26#039;s and used it and i liked it. Now its done and I want some but my won%26#039;t let me wear any foundation. She thinks its bad for my skin. I want it cuz sometimes i need to even out my skin or use it for cover-up. What can I do to get her to say yes?

By the way my sister who is 17 gets to use foundation and my mom uses foundation a little.
My mom won%26#039;t let me wear foundation.?
You%26#039;re thirteen, I%26#039;d have to say I agree with your mom.
My mom won%26#039;t let me wear foundation.?
There are kinds that acctually help your skin.. tell her that, its true I have it.
Reply:Your 13 enjoy your skin while its clear and wrinkle free!
Reply:try mineral makeup its oil free and it wont make you break out! tell her to check out this link
Reply:she may be more convinced if you show her bare minerals make up at avon.com good luck :)
Reply:it actually IS really bad for your skin, it makes it even more unevened out. it makes your skin break out too. so let your skin BREATHE!!!

and you%26#039;re only 13!! you dont need all of that stuff!
Reply:well you should just use it anyway, foundation is cheap and you could easily get it without her knowing about it and wearing it dosen%26#039;t make a huge difference so you could wear it without her knowing about it...

just buy some when you are out with your friends or home aloe maybe, she never has to know (:
Reply:Noo!!!

Don%26#039;t use it, seriously it gives you wrinkles, big pores and the more you use it the more you%26#039;ll become reliant on it.

To get rid of spots use a good facial wash every night, drink water at every oppurtunity, and if you really really really need some kind of cover up, use powder, or a subtle fake tan!

Good luck Babes x
Reply:Your mom is correct. Your body is still going through changes and you don%26#039;t want to do anything that is going to alter your skin in a negative way. I know a lady that started wearing makeup when she was very young and now it%26#039;s like her skin is addicted. When she does not have on foundation, her skin breaks out in these hive-looking things. Once it%26#039;s back on the swelling goes down. Go natural as long as you can
Reply:You don%26#039;t need foundation. I think that people in general look better without make-up, especially younger people.
Reply:Most foundations contain SPF (sunscreens). This could be a major plus considering that it%26#039;s almost summer. Alot of them are actually good for your skin. Look for something lightweight like Clean by Covergirl. Point out to your mom that it can actually help to prevent acne, and assure her that you won%26#039;t be using much at a time. Just don%26#039;t forget to always be respectful to your mum. She%26#039;s doing what she thinks is best for you. Good Luck!
Reply:When I was 13 I played around with foundation - it seemed subtle and a good look to me but looking back it was REALLY obvious. I%26#039;m 35 and I barely wear it now. Why don%26#039;t you dab a bit of concealer on the areas you want to cover up. Apart from that let your skin breathe - you can get into a bad cycle of covering up spots with foundation, then the skin can%26#039;t breathe and you get more spots so you put on more foundation.

There are plenty of years ahead to wear makeup - don%26#039;t rush it. Enjoy having gorgeous, young skin. A bit of lipgloss would look great. Don%26#039;t put a mask on.
Reply:Tell her that you can buy some that helps your skin.

Its o.k. I%26#039;m 14 and just started using it.
Reply:moms are usually right about most things. foundation clogs your pores and may cause break outs. also if you are out in the sun with foundation on, the colour pigments in the foundation can react with sunlight and give you pigmentation (sun spots). my mom has this so it%26#039;s true. if i were you i%26#039;d get something like chanel blanc essentiel base de teint. it is a tinted make up base with spf in it and will even out your skin tone without clogging your pores
Reply:She%26#039;s right. After all, you%26#039;re only 13.

It%26#039;s actually not healthy for teenagers to cover up skin.

You%26#039;re sister is almost fully grown, and foundation won%26#039;t do any harm to your mom%26#039;s skin. That%26#039;s why they get to.
Reply:im 14 and i wear foundation

i really wanna stop but i cant im additeced n i hate the way i look without it

i cant even tan becuase i wear it

i say dont wear who cares it will ruin your skin n ull be obsesed u prob look good without

think about it when u see a person with one or two pimples do u really notice ? not really

so i say dont wear it :)
Reply:wait until you%26#039;re 20+

trust me!

foundation is mainly for older woman.

your skin is still young.

wearing foundation now will only ruin it.
Reply:i think that you should tell you mom that you would like to try it out and promis her you wont go over the top and say sometimes i feel really self contious about getting blemishes and i need a little bit of coverage. i am going to be a young adult soon and i am going to need it sooner or later, so please just let me try it out.

and you shold ask her if you can use the mineral kind becuase that is very natural and actually works with your skin and helps it.

hope i helped!!
Reply:convience your mom that you are good at using foundation i would rather use powder foundation for natural look.ask her why your sister can wear it and you can%26#039;t please right back.
Reply:I%26#039;m 13 too and my mom says the same thing,

but i think your moms right because it will clog your pores and then you get acne and then you%26#039;ll need to use more and more.

and your mom and sister can use it cuz theyre old :)

just wear powder or something. that%26#039;s what my mom tells me.
Reply:Use a tinted moisteriser for a little colour and coverage for a few years... Your still so young and there can%26#039;t seriously be a lot to cover surely!! I started wearing foundation when I was 15 and my skin paid the price!!! I regret wearing foundation so young. I%26#039;m 25 y.o. and my skin still reacts to liquid foundations no matter what brand or coverage.

I couldn%26#039;t agree with your mum more!!!
Reply:Foundation is usually too heavy for young skin. You probably would do well with just a little concealor and some powder. It would look more natural and that is the whole point of wearing makeup. Looking better, but natural.
Reply:foundation wrecks your face when you are young
